Shot on expired 35mm film, 'An Ideological Hit List' seeks to investigate the Ideological State's hegemonic abuse of power. In photographing these "centers of Ideological Power" it was vital the images were massive and external. Not only capturing the all-encompassing aura of the Ideological State but capturing the lack of agency I had as a photographer.
In displaying 'An Ideological Hit List red tape surrounded the image - symbolic for another abuse of power, bureaucracy.  While doubling as a symbolic metaphor, the red tape not only conveyed my emotions towards the state; but served to create a miniature state of its own. As I the photographer exercised agency over the viewer, prohibiting them from seeing the full image.
